About Chris

Chris Noble is a writer, photographer, and public speaker whose work re-connects people with nature and inspires them to live healthier, more mindful, and sustainable lives. He’s a veteran of over thirty expeditions to the most remote corners of the globe, ranging from Denali to Everest; the peaks of the Alps to the jungles of Borneo; from the Arctic to remote regions of Burma and Bhutan. His words and photographs have appeared in hundreds of publications, including Life, National Geographic, Newsweek, Orion, Outside, Rolling Stone, Climbing and Rock and Ice. Noble has served as a contributing photographer at Powder and Outdoor Photographer Magazines. Commercial clients include Black Diamond, Camelbak, Isis, Nike, and The North Face. Noble produces humanitarian and conservation based media on behalf of organizations including Lily Yeh’s Barefoot Artist and Round River Conservation. He has been a featured speaker at the National Geographic Society, the Banff Mountain Film Festival, The Mountaineer’s Club, the Outdoor Photo Expo produced by Photo District News as well as appearing at photographic symposiums, workshops, and events worldwide. American Photo Magazine has written, “the secret of Noble’s success is that there is no dividing line between adventure and his photography.” Noble’s latest project is Women Who Dare: North America’s Most Inspiring Women Climbers, a book celebrating the athleticism, wisdom, and grace of twenty prominent female climbers.  As world champion Sasha DiGiulian states, “this book offers an inspiring look at the world of female climbing, capturing the heart of the sport from a perspective not fully explored before— that of the women themselves.  Working with Chris Noble on this project helped me reflect on and articulate why climbing has become my life’s passion.”
