Welcome to Chris Noble Photographic Arts!
Welcome to Chris Noble Photographic Arts, a visual communication company offering commercial, editorial, stock, and fine art services. My passion is applying my communication skills in writing, photography, motion, public speaking and teaching— to help create a more mindful, compassionate, and sustainable world. Whether you work in work in publishing, manufacturing, conservation, social justice or the arts, I welcome the opportunity to work with you and your team to develop your brand, achieve your goals, and move your organization to the next level of success.
The images you’ll find on my website, are signposts from my professional journey. Two currents run through my work— first, a deep connection to the natural world, and second, a strong desire to evolve through the creative process.
Whether I’m photographing the world’s most inspiring rock climbers; the power of art to transform a refugee village in Rwanda; an organic farm within a city of millions— these themes influence everything I do.
Along the way, I’ve confronted the thin air and perilous cold of Everest, Denali, and Ama Dablam; tiptoed among Alaskan grizzlies; shared tropical caves with poisonous spiders and more than sixteen million bats. I’ve followed the extreme skiers of the Alps down sheer slopes of 55 degrees, and was an eye-witness to the 2004 Tsunami when it slammed (literally at my feet) into the coast of southeast Asia.
I’ve had the privilege of working with legendary mountaineers such as Mugs Stump, Alex Lowe, Conrad Anker, Jean Marc Boivin and Patrick Vallencant; as well as visionary humanitarians, artists, and environmentalists including Terry Tempest Williams and her husband Brooke Williams; Lily Yeh and the Barefoot Artists; and Dennis Sizemore of Round River Conservation.
As a species we are now confronting the greatest adventure humans have ever faced— the challenge of transforming a crowded, fragmented, industrial civilization into a more mindful, sustainable, and unified world. I believe in the power of images and words to catalyze that transformation. In fact, I believe we have no more powerful tools with which to educate, inspire and transform.
At this historic time, what interests me most is collaborating with others who are equally committed to evolution and positive change— whether it be through creating products that promote a healthy, active lifestyle; telling inspiring stories about people living conscious, engaged lives; or helping NGOs protect endangered peoples and places.
Regardless of the scale of your project I’d like to hear from you. My professional experience runs the gamut— from advertising shoots for multi-nationals with million dollar budgets to small, no-frills productions for local small businesses and non-profits—but regardless of the scope of the project my approach is always based on what I call “the three C’s: Contribution, Collaboration, and Creativity.
I see my role as a visual translator, listening deeply to the needs and concerns of my clients, then helping bring their vision vividly to life. In fact, I know I’ve got the best job in the world, since it allows me to contribute, collaborate, and get actively creative with other like-minded people who continually teach me how to be better— not just professionally, but as a human being.
If I could think of anything more fun and rewarding than that, I’d be doing it. I look forward to hearing about your next project and how we can work together to give it wings.
